Last year most property sales in East of England involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £394,349. Detached properties sold for an average price of £563,880, while terraced properties fetched £338,587.
East of England, with an overall average price of £400,598 was more expensive than nearby East Midlands (£264,125), but was cheaper than London (£724,861) and South East (£480,541). The priciest area within East of England was Hertfordshire (£534,362) and the least expensive was Norfolk (£306,874).
During the last year, sold prices in East of England were 3% down on the previous year and 4% up on 2021 when the average house price was £386,231.
