Most of the sales in Cumbria over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £152,137. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £210,015 and detached properties averaged at £384,785.

Cumbria, with an overall average price of £226,357, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Merseyside (£215,865), but was more expensive than Lancashire (£202,207) and cheaper than Greater Manchester (£256,752). The most expensive area within Cumbria was Hawkshead (£673,333) and the cheapest was Moor Row (£99,438).

In the past year house prices in Cumbria were 4% down on the year before and similar to 2021 when they averaged at £221,439.
