Last year most property sales in Coniston involved terraced properties which sold for on average £280,000. Semi-detached properties sold for an average price of £231,600, while detached properties fetched £280,500.
Coniston, with an overall average price of £253,600, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Lake District (£244,405), but was cheaper than Hawkshead (£524,500) and Ambleside (£345,574).
During the last year, sold prices in Coniston were 28% down on the previous year and 33% down on 2011 when the average house price was £375,821.
