Most of the sales in Cumbria over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £152,951. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £208,349 and detached properties averaged at £390,876.

Cumbria, with an overall average price of £226,973, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Merseyside (£215,705), but was more expensive than Lancashire (£200,874) and cheaper than Greater Manchester (£255,826). The most expensive area within Cumbria was Grasmere (£799,000) and the cheapest was Moor Row (£92,900).

In the past year house prices in Cumbria were 3% down on the year before and 3% up on 2021 when they averaged at £221,381.
