Most of the sales in Cumbria over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £154,848. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £211,341 and detached properties averaged at £373,678.
Cumbria, with an overall average price of £226,868 was more expensive than nearby Lancashire (£200,472) and Merseyside (£213,627), but was cheaper than Greater Manchester (£258,203). The most expensive area within Cumbria was Grasmere (£933,333) and the cheapest was Moor Row (£104,750).
In the past year house prices in Cumbria were 3% down on the year before and similar to 2021 when they averaged at £221,564.
