Most of the sales in South West over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £545,259. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £293,887 and semi-detached properties averaged at £337,921.
South West, with an overall average price of £366,018 was more expensive than nearby West Midlands (£279,861), but was cheaper than South East (£480,541) and London (£724,861). The most expensive area within South West was Dorset (£407,902) and the cheapest was Devon (£335,259).
In the past year house prices in South West were similar to the year before and 7% up on 2021 when they averaged at £342,934.
