Most of the sales in South West over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £545,969. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £293,704 and semi-detached properties averaged at £338,603.
South West, with an overall average price of £365,878 was more expensive than nearby West Midlands (£279,271), but was cheaper than South East (£483,360) and London (£730,885). The most expensive area within South West was Dorset (£406,890) and the cheapest was Devon (£334,907).
In the past year house prices in South West were similar to the year before and 7% up on 2021 when they averaged at £342,916.
