Most of the sales in South West over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £535,049. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £293,436 and semi-detached properties averaged at £333,793.
South West, with an overall average price of £360,028 was more expensive than nearby West Midlands (£276,445), but was cheaper than South East (£468,712) and London (£706,159). The most expensive area within South West was Dorset (£397,799) and the cheapest was Devon (£326,282).
In the past year house prices in South West were 3% down on the year before and 5% up on 2021 when they averaged at £342,825.
