Description
The Crumpled Horn is a Grade II listed, single-bar public house, designed by Roy Wilson-Smith for Watney Mann. The pub opened as a Wessex Taverns house in December 1975 as part of the Eldene Estate development. The design of this pub was based on the nursery rhyme "This is the House Jack Built" and is known for its peculiar look.
The pub is served from a hexagon shaped bar which services the whole trading area. Their is a mixture of fixed and loose seating around the building with separate snug enclosures. The elegant structure of the pub is with traditional beams to a high rise roof point and rustic brick exposed walls creating a relaxing ambience to enjoy. The pub houses a darts and pool area for sporting teams.
The domestic accommodation consists of three bedrooms, domestic kitchen and lounge. Externally the pub benefits from a large paved patio area with bench seating, along with a lawned beer garden. The Crumpled Horn also has a car park which accommodates for 20+ cars.
