The hotel was a former drovers’ inn, which was fully renovated in 2021 and was awarded ‘Rural Hotel of the Year 2023’. The hotel has been operational again since 1 February 2024.

The hotel comprises six luxury bedrooms, a reception with open fireplace, breakfast restaurant with outdoor terrace and dinner restaurant with views towards the loch and beyond. There is a whisky bar, cellar bar and restaurant, snug/living room with open fire place, WCs, a large commercial kitchen and four ensuite staff apartments.

The location is ideal for events requiring accommodation, with the entire site capable of accommodating 24 guests in self catering accommodation plus 6 bedroom hotel.

Further accommodation operated by the limited company includes:
• Five one-bedroom self-catering lodges, based on a South African hunting lodge design (Corrie, Daisy, Fern, Pip and Willow)
• Two semi-detached cottages (Fin and Bramble)
• Three spacious cottages (Errol Lodge, Henderson Lodge and Orchard Lodge), newly developed in 2023 and due to begin trading 2024, all providing significant potential additional income, without capital expenditure, and a fourth unit currently utilised as a laundry but with potential to convert to a fourth luxury letting unit.

Loch Tay forms a 17-mile stretch of water over one mile wide, centrally located in the scenic Perthshire countryside, surrounded by picturesque Munros, the closest being Ben Lawers. The loch flows into the River Tay, the longest river in Scotland, and then onward to the Firth of Tay, south of Dundee.

The area is becoming a popular tourist destination for both national and international visitors due to its incredible beauty, vast array of tourist attractions and its central geographical position in Scotland, less than two hours by car from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and the west coast. The stunning scenery, fishing on the loch and also numerous historic places of interest, pubs and restaurants provide an ideal destination for short breaks or family holidays for visitors seeking unique, luxurious hideaways the Scottish countryside has to offer.
