The Black Lion Hotel is an extensive Grade II Listed two and three storey property with sections believed to date back to the Tudor era. The  accommodation briefly comprises an entrance hall leading to a comfortable lounge to the right of the entrance with two small snug areas leading towards the restaurant to the left. The 'Tudor Bar' is full of character with an ornate timber bar servery, timber flooring, open fireplaces and original wooden beams. Part of the lounge bar wall is an unusual glazed curved panel which originally came from Chirk Castle. A sports bar is at the rear, accessed via a hallway with a timber servery. 

The restaurant room has a timber floor with raised area and seating for approximately 40.
