For days out you could visit the arboretum and wild gardens at National Trust Fyne Court, the beautiful formal gardens and lakes of Hestercombe House, and 13 miles away, the peaceful Bridgwater Bay National Nature Reserve. Closer to home, Kings Cliff forest is just 2 miles away and a great place to walk dogs and take children.
