The role of today's Estate Agent is ever changing thanks to the rapid technology growth within the industry but also due to the increasing numbers or Internet based agencies offering extremely cheap rates for both the Sales and Lettings market with some even declaring 'an end to high street agent's and their fees'. This is juxta posed to the traditional Estate Agents, located on prime High Streets.
At GREENWOODS we see our niche in the market as offering the best of both, a fusion between the traditional high street agent and the high tech on-line agent.
We have a wonderful office in North Kingston, but importantly we provide a very personalised customer focused service, whilst at the same time being competitively priced and giving excellent value for money. Our office is located just a short walk from the main town centre, which helps to keep overheads down and with the added benefit of free 1-hour parking bays, right outside the office and on adjacent roads, its easy to just drop by for a chat or to collect keys etc.
With regards to the levels of service that on line agencies provide, I really don't believe there is any comparison with what we offer, from the levels of customer service, professionalism, or the vast amounts of local knowledge that we provide. All of our staff live locally and have been residents in the Kingston/Wimbledon area for some considerable time, they fully understand the local property market, most have children at local schools and are therefore able to provide valuable advice to buyers or renters on the differences between areas, schools, transport links, recreation or entertainment.
The tools of our trade though have changed and now are very much online based, so we use exactly the same leading Property Portals as the online agents, we feature prominently on Rightmove whilst also having fully automated processes for all of our services, with award winning industry software. As a local independent agent, our customers know who in our office to talk to when they have a question or a problem, they do not talk to someone in a call centre miles away who happen to be on their shift and who really don't know the area.
We are also very proud of the fact that we only employ local, fully qualified tradesmen, who provide high levels of maintenance, service and or repairs. I have personally used all of our tradesmen in my own home and so I feel confident that they will provide you with a very good level of service and importantly at a fair price. In our office we also only use local businesses to support us, including the provision of stationary, printing, advertising, cleaning etc., not often the most cost effective way but it's just our way of giving back to the local community.
Finally, we try hard to give back to our community:
- We sponsor our local schools and events
- We are members of the Canbury Area Residents Association or CARA and the North Kingston Neighbourhood Planning committee.
- Our main support is to Kingston Giving, which is an incredible local charity (formally Kingston Charitable Foundation/Love Kingston) and we have raised in excess of £20,000 in the past 5 years.
- We support two national charities, as a retired Royal Navy Officer, we are very proud to support Help for Hero's and in addition, The British Heart Foundation.
As we continue to grow we promise to continue to give to local and national charities, whilst at the same time constantly striving to give outstanding levels of customer service to all of our clients.
