    On 2nd December 2013, Bernards Estate Agents opened its 3rd prestigious high street office at 129 London Road, North End, Portsmouth.

    Managing Director Daniel Byrne has carefully selected an enthusiastic team to man the Bernards Portsmouth office which is Managed Charlie Tuson

    The location of the office was carefully selected to provide the perfect bridge between the existing and highly successful Bernards Southsea and Bernards Waterlooville offices. Bernards are now able to provide high quality lettings and sales solutions to the whole of Portsea Island, Portchester, Paulsgrove, Drayton, Farlington, Havant, Purbrook, Widley, Leigh Park, Waterlooville, Denmead, Clanfield and Horndean.

    I have worked in estate agency since 1999, having worked for a large independent estate agent for nearly 10 years. I decided to join Bernard's initially as the  Southsea office Branch Manager. The company has grown having gone from one office to now four high-street offices. In 2018 I succeeded Jason Parker as Bernards Managing Director. At the weekend you will find me, probably working again, maybe at Fratton Park, Swimming with my daughters

    I have been working in estate agency for just shy of a decade and half of that time has been with Bernards. I started at the bottom on the front desk as a trainee negotiator and rose through the ranks to where I am now as Branch Manager of the Portsmouth Office .     I joined Bernards Southsea in January 2019, having worked in a number of agencies during my career I can honestly say I have been really impressed with the team I work within, I started my Estate Agency career in 1996 just after leaving school. After working as a trainee in an independent agency for two years I was then headhunted by a corporate agency called General Accident Property Services and went to work in Andover, during the next 18 months I won trips to Gleneagles, Amsterdam & Barcelona. I was then shortlisted to a Champions League Draw where I won the Top Sales Consultant award with most Sales and Mortgages across 160 branches Nationwide. After spending time working across Berkshire & Surrey I returned to the Hampshire Region to join a cold start independent agency which within 4 years grew into having 12 offices covering the South Coast, from there In 2004 I set up my own estate agency which become a market leading firm within 6 months of opening. I have three children, and a Pug. I am a keen follower of sport namely Football, Rugby & Boxing.

    I joined Bernards as their photographer back in January 2015. At this point I was still studying for my Degree at the University of Winchester, so i was working for Bernards on a self-employed basis. After graduating I was approached by Daniel Byrne, who offered me the position of Take-On Manager. As Take-on Manager, i'm responsible for the marketing of properties for both sales and lettings for all offices. I also manage the social media for the company, a responsibility I very much enjoy.
