    Welcome to Carruthers and Luck Estate Agents. Paul Carruthers and Steve Luck have been selling properties in Saltdean and Peacehaven for over 30 years and we have lived in the area all of our lives. We met at the age of 4, yes 4!, went through primary and secondary schools together and then in march 2001, some years later, we joined forces and set up Carruthers and Luck Estate agents. The aim, simply to provide the very best.

    We have combined all the modern technologies with traditional Estate agency values and come up with what we think is a unique service. In the opinion of a lot of our clients we offer a personal service with good communication and relevant, informative advice, indeed the last time our service was surveyed on behalf of the property ombudsman, we scored 100% for customer satisfaction. (figures produced by reference line based on the last 10 completed transactions from both buyers and sellers perspective).

    OUR SERVICES

    Floor plans

    We offer floor plans on all of our properties as part of our service and at no extra charge to you. These plans have been a terrific success and have increased viewings on properties that we offer for sale. We were the first agent in our area to introduce floor plans.

    Photography

    We have recently invested heavily in the latest Camera's that provide us with stunning images using wide angle digital technology. Whilst our glossy A3 details provide buyers with a selection of photographs to wet their appetites, we can display an unlimited amount on Rightmove.co.uk and on our own website.

    Level of service

    As one of our clients you can expect a very high level of service. The most common complaint about Estate Agents is the lack of communication. Whilst you property is on the market you will receive regular advice and feedback from the first viewing until the successful completion of the sale. If the property you are selling is empty, we run regular checks on all of our vacant properties which may be of help where insurers are concerned.

    Accompanied Viewings

    We accompany all prospective purchasers when they view your property. We will then report back to you within 24/48 hours.

    Advertising

    Your property will be extensively advertised until sold via our own website, Rightmove.co.uk, the deans magazine and the Peacehaven directory. These mediums have been proved to get the very best access to buyer both locally and nationally.

    Value for money

    Whilst Carruthers & Luck offer a comprehensive service we have not lost sight of the cost of moving home. We are satisfied that our terms of business are one of the most competitive available and also the least restrictive.

    We have a no sale-no fee policy.

    Paul Carruthers - Director
    Paul is a Director and co founder of the company and has been selling properties since leaving school. Now with almost 30 years in the business he is probably the most established and experienced of any of the active Estate Agents in the Peacehaven area. Paul is a particularly big football fan, following West Ham United and of course his local Brighton and Hove Albion. He has a wife and 3 grown up children. Paul is based at the Peacehaven Branch.

    Steve Luck - Director

    Steve is the other original co founder of the company. Again, Steve left school back in the late 1980's and followed his own father into the business. Between 1988 and 2001 was spent working for a large corporate and later a successful independent in the Peacehaven area, before setting up Carruthers and Luck with Paul in March 2001.Steve has a passion for all things motorsport and can often be found on a track somewhere if he's not working. Steve is married and has 5 children.

    Kevin Virgo - Sales Manager
    Kevin joined us in 2003 when we set up and opened Peacehaven office. He has worked along side Paul Carruthers at the Peacehaven office and is a major part of its terrific success. Kevin started his career with a large corporate in Brighton before joining us. His hard work and dedication to the company have made him an integral part and key person in the business.

    Bethany Luck - Administrator
    Bethany joined the company from college after successfully completing a business course. She has five years experience in sales and administration working from both branches. Bethany lives in Peacehaven and is extremely keen to progress in the business.

    Thomas Hayden - Sales Negotiator
    Thomas is Paul's nephew and has followed him into the business. He started with us as holiday cover in 2021 and has proved himself to be a well motivated and crucial part of the team today. In August 2023, Thomas completed his apprenticeship and now has a qualification in the sector. Thomas is here to help you from the initial valuation all the way through to completion.

    Rob Pitts - Sales Negotiator
    Rob is our newest member of staff and joins the team at our Peacehaven office, he is keen to learn his craft and assist buyers to find their perfect property, occasionally you will find him covering and assisting the team at our Saltdean office, he lives locally and knows the area well, he is able to offer great advice to anyone moving to or within the area. He brings with him a wealth of customer service experience and is keen to progress his new career in Estate Agency.

    Callum Carruthers - Sales Negotiator
    Callum is Paul's son and has followed him into the business. Callum has worked in both our sales and lettings departments so is familiar with both businesses. His background is customer service so he is able maintain very high levels of communication making any house move a less stressful process. Callum has lived in Peacehaven all of his life so knows the area extremely well and is always happy to give advice to anyone new moving to the area.

    Christina Dove - Administrator
    After many years working for a large bank, Christina joined us in 2015 as a secretary at our Peacehaven office. She brings with her a wealth of experience in customer service and has already established herself as a valuable member of the team
