80% of our business is from repeat customers
Selling a property can be an exciting process, but it can also be overwhelming - whether you are an experienced seller, selling for the first time or parting with a home you have lived in for many years, we will help make the sale of your property simple and efficient.
Market appraisal
The first step is to ascertain how much your property is potentially worth in the current marketplace and to agree a realistic asking price. The aim is to sell at the best possible price in your preferred timeframe.

Instructing an estate agent
Selecting the right agent is critical to achieving a successful sale. It is important to find a professional, well-established agent with a strong reputation, exceptional track record and proven ability.
Selecting a solicitor
Conducting some research and making a decision before you put your property on the market is recommended to avoid frustrating delays, and ensuring you are ready to proceed once a suitable buyer is located.
Presenting your property
Ensuring that your property is presented in its best light will have a significant impact on the desirability of your home, the swiftness of receiving an offer and most importantly, the price you achieve.
Marketing your property with Carter Jonas
Your property will be presented on our website, as well as gaining the maximum possible exposure on leading property portals. You will also benefit from our well-managed database of local and international registered buyers, print and online advertising and a dedicated PR team working to achieve coverage in local, national and trade press.
At a local level, our expert teams will promote your property, handle all enquiries and manage viewings on your behalf. Our experienced staff will qualify applicants, accompany viewers, and give feedback promptly after all viewings.
Offer generation & negotiation
Each offer will be presented to you (verbally and in writing) and we will negotiate on your behalf in order to achieve the best possible outcome. There is a great deal to consider during this time and we will be readily available to discuss all options with you and offer our expert advice to help you with decision-making.
Accepting an offer
We place a great importance on transparency of offers. We have created a comprehensive online offer form which asks the applicant for all details relevant to their offer. Once submitted, this offer will be forwarded to you in full, allowing you to see and understand the strength of the offer first-hand without any agent explanation or justification required.
Sales progression
A crucial part of our role after the acceptance of an offer is progressing the sale through the conveyancing process to completion. Although there are exceptions, the majority of sales take between 10 and 12 weeks to complete.
Exchange of contracts
This occurs when copies of signed contracts are exchanged between your solicitor and the buyer's solicitor, and a non-refundable deposit is paid by the buyer.
Completion
This occurs when the property legally changes hands, with any mortgage arrangements in place, and the transfer of funds has occurred.
