When searching for a property, whether it's a first-time buy, family home, downsize or an investment property, it always helps to be ahead of the crowd. By registering with Dacre, Son & Hartley, we can help to identify properties that meet your criteria and ensure that you hear about them at the earliest opportunity, sometimes before they come to market.

Few estate agents in West Yorkshire or North Yorkshire can match the range of properties we offer, so contact us first and our experienced personnel will be pleased to assist in the search for your dream home.

Step-by-step guide to finding your ideal property

    1. Register with us. You can do this by visiting one of our offices in person, by 'phone or online at dacres.co.uk

    2. When you have identified your preferred location and type of property - as broad or as narrow as you wish - our web-linked mailing system will ensure you receive information across all areas that match your requirements.

    3. We will ensure you receive information however you want it, by post, email or SMS text, as soon as it becomes available.

    4. If you are seeking a new property, our New Homes
Department [link to New Homes/Buying page] can update you on the many developments that we represent, including any special offers available from developers, and then guide you through the process of buying on completion or 'off-plan'.

    5. For investment purchasers, our Investors Club will not only source properties but can also let and manage them on your behalf.

    6. When you receive our property brochures, you will find that they are designed to assist your decision-making, including accurate descriptions of the property and its location, high quality photographs to convey the style of a house and detailed floor plans.

    7. You will see that many of the properties featured on this website also include area maps and Street View to assist you in assessing a property's location.

    8. The Area Guides on this website also provide useful information on local facilities, schools, transport etc, all of which will enable you to determine whether the property is right for you.

    9. Use the Map feature at the top of this page to identify properties for sale in your chosen location.

    10. To assist with any mortgage questions, our online property details include a handy mortgage calculator and we can also provide independent financial advice [link to DSH Financial Services page] tailored to your needs and circumstances.

    11. The Saved Properties feature at the top of this page, enables you to quickly save details of any properties that you are interested in.

    12. If you wish to view a property, our friendly, well-informed viewing staff will ensure that all your questions are answered promptly and accurately.

    13. We will always seek feedback on any property you've viewed as this not only helps the vendor but can also enable us to refine, with you, your property requirements and the matching process.

Above all, we will seek to find the property that's right for you and will keep you informed throughout the buying process. Perhaps that's why so many of our purchasers become vendors in the future.

    Testimonials from Sellers

    • Seller Testimonial

going above and beyond to make the process happen
"We moved to Dacres to sell our house after another agent wasn't up to the mark, we were delighted to accept an offer from the first viewer and within 2 weeks of the property going on with Dacres. The end of the sales processing was challenging as the buyers tried to negotiate a price reduction. Lesley had just taken over our case from a previous colleague at this time and was a huge support in helping us resolve the issue, She also did a great job at chasing up the chain, going above and beyond to make the process happen. I would definitely recommend Dacres and without Lesley's support in the final few weeks of the sale the process would have been even more stressful!" Mrs. Pennie (12th June 2018)

    Testimonials from Buyers

    • Buyer Testimonial

true professionals but with a personal touch
"We sold our house in March this year and moved into rented accommodation after our sale fell through. During that time we were very, very impressed with the proactive nature of the help from Dacres in trying to find us a new home. The level of service was outstanding which is not something I say lightly. They were true professionals but with a personal touch." J Kitwood (19th September 2014)
