The Horsforth, Guiseley and Otley Offices are family owned and run by the three proprietors and brothers Andrew, Ian and Peter Hardisty and they offer a wide variation of properties in some of the most impressive and affluent suburbs of both Leeds and Bradford. Andrew Hardisty BSc (Hons) MNAEA Director /Valuer

Andrew was educated in Easingwold, Bishop Burton College and then Newcastle University where he graduated with honors in Agriculture and Estate management. Whilst at University, being a young entrepreneur, he purchased two properties to rent out in the Leeds area and that's where his love of property began.After graduating Andrew initially began his career in farming and whilst that is also one of his life's passions the passion for property took over and he decided to diversify into Estate Agency in 2002. Andrew took over the license to trade as Waite & Co Horsforth and since then acquired both the Guiseley and Otley Offices and joined forces with his two brothers Ian and Peter. The business re-branded to HARDISTY AND CO in 2015. Andrew now resides in Rawdon with his wife and four young children and is heavily involved in the local community.

Ornella Davies - Area Manager

Ornella has lived and worked in the area for the past forty years and has worked in the housing industry ever since leaving school at fourteen. Her first job was working at Marshall and Gray Builders Merchants selling everything one would need for building and maintaining houses and she enjoyed this job for seven years. She then embarked on working for Ellmore Builders where, for ten years, she priced up building properties and then went on to work for Faithful and Gould Quantity Surveyors for a further eight years.She then became a very well known face in Yeadon where she worked for a corporate company for sixteen years. Her wide knowledge and expertise made her the top Estate Agent for quite a number of years achieving the best possible price for her customers. Through trust and hard work, Ornella has so many customers that continue to use her. It is with great pleasure that we at HARDISTY AND CO welcome her on board.

Abigail Fox MNAEA - Sales Manager

Abigail joined Hardisty and Co in 2016 to advance her career after working for another independent North Leeds estate agent and quickly moved up the ranks with training, hard work and commitment. Abigail Successfully completed the Technical Award in Residential Estate Agency in 2017, is a member of the NAEA and currently hold the position of sales manager at the Otley branch. Abigail has grown up and lives locally and enjoys taking advantage of Otley's surrounding countryside for weekend walks.

George Smith - Sales Negotiator

George grew up in Baildon and attended Guiseley high school where he completed his GCSE's. George wanted to broaden his education experience and left school and attended Leeds City College where is trained to be a fitness instructor. Whilst at college he wanted to experience work and started as a part time bartender and waiter at pub restaurant. Whilst at college George secured an apprenticeship at a fitness gym where he learned excellent customer service skills and found a real passion for working with the general public. George also has a passion for property coming from a family of building and renovation back ground and felt that on completion of his first apprenticeship he had some really strong transferable skills and continued his journey pursuing a career in estate agency. George enjoys fitness and attending Leeds United football matches.

Rory Anderson - Valuer MARLA

Rory is originally from Nottinghamshire but headed further North in 2012 where he completed his degree achieving a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science at Manchester Metropolitan University. Rory moved to Yorkshire in 2013 to be with his now wife Sarah and their cockapoo Peppa! After settling in Leeds Rory began his career here in the retail sector, swiftly moving into management, however, he found that retail wasn't his real passion and decided he wanted a more challenging and rewarding career. He began his career in property forming part of a lettings team in a corporate agency and was quickly fulfilling a senior position, passing his NFOPP Level 3 in lettings and property management. Rory quickly found that his strength and passion was in valuing and moved specifically into a combined sales and lettings valuer role. Rory has extensive knowledge and experience having valued across North Yorkshire including Leeds, Harrogate, Ripon, Wetherby, Tadcaster. Rory joined HARDISTY AND CO in 2019 and values for the Horsforth and Otley offices. Health and fitness in his spare time, spending time with his family, in the gym or eating pizza are his favourite pastimes!

Mark James Mortgage & Protection Specialist

Mark moved north from Rugby in 2000 to attend Trinity University in Horsforth to complete a degree to be a primary school teacher. During this time Mark undertook a job in Leeds city centre as a chef to help finance his living whilst studying. When Mark graduated he decided against a career in teaching and felt a shift into the banking sector was a far more exciting prospect for him. Mark soon secured a position in one of the large banking institutions and during his seven years working there took the initiative to undertake his CeMAP qualifications, independently, in order to develop and progress his career to advising. Soon after passing his exams Mark worked for two corporate estate agents as a mortgage advisor. Mark now resides in North Leeds with his dog Loki and joined Hardisty Financial in December 2017 and is a dedicated, friendly and professional mortgage and protection advisor who goes above and beyond to see and meet his client's needs. Mark is an avid Coventry City supporter and loves to go watch the matches, enjoys walking his dog and reading.

Nathan Topley Mortgage & Protection Specialist

Nathan was born and grew up in Bradford and back in the year 2000 attended Bradford college in order to complete advanced qualifications in Computing. Whilst completing his studies Nathan began working temporarily for Santander in the evenings to help pay his way through college life and that is where his love of finance began. After completing his computing course Nathan continued working for Santander for a further six years before moving on to pastures new at Accord Mortgages where he then spent the next twelve years learning everything there is to know about mortgages. Nathan decided to go it alone as a mortgage adviser in 2017 and joined William H Brown where he grew from strength to strength in product knowledge and experience. In August 2018 Nathan joined our excellent team of highly professional and personable mortgage and protection specialists. Nathan is a dedicated family man with two small children and, dare we say, is an avid Man United fan! He also enjoys playing football and socialising whenever he can fit it into his busy schedule!!

Ashley Kay DEA & Photographer

Ashley has lived in Horsforth and Rawdon for most of his life and attended Horsforth High School where he completed his GCSE examinations. Whilst Ashley was studying at high school he completed his work experience with us and that is where his love of property began. He went on to take a part time job with the company as an office junior and administration assistant whilst attending Park Lane College where he completed his BTEC level 3 in business studies. Ashley commenced working for the company, full time in 2013 and has since qualified as a Domestic Energy Assessor in 2014. Ashley is an accomplished photographer and forms a valued part of the DEA, Photographic and administrational team at HARDISTY AND CO based at the Horsforth Office.

Paul Lawson DEA, Photographer, APIP

Paul was born and raised in Adel, Leeds and was educated at Ralph Thoresby High School where he completed his GCSE's and A levels. Paul left school in 1998 when he began his early career in property working for a small independent estate agent. After he had gained some initial experience he left to join his father in their family business managing a small portfolio of investment properties and carrying out various duties as a surveyor's assistant drawing floorplans and completing general administration. In 2002 Paul began incorporating into his role joinery, bathroom and kitchen fitting and general property maintenance which gave him a great platform for his role today. In 2007 he qualified as a DEA and worked successfully for himself until 2012 when he joined the team at Waite & Co Horsforth. Paul achieved his APIP (Association of Professional Inventory Providers) qualification in 2014. Paul is a valued member of both the residential sales and property management teams at HARDISTY AND CO carrying out EPC's, photography and other associated business for the sales and lettings division.

Tracey Hardisty MNAEA - BDM

Tracey has been working in the estate agency industry since 1986 and has a wealth of knowledge and experience. Tracey began her career in the Bramley area of Leeds working for a small independent estate agent. Throughout her career she has experienced the corporate and independent worlds of estate agency and quickly decided that the work ethic and personal service offered by the independent estate agent determined a definite pathway which she wanted her career to take. Tracey moved to work in the Horsforth area of Leeds in 1989 and this is where she has settled and remained. Tracey is highly regarded and respected within the profession and has a wealth of valued and loyal clients. She now holds the position of area manager overseeing the Horsforth residential sales and lettings divisions and the Guiseley and Otley offices. Tracey has an extremely strong work ethic, focused on family values and ensures that her loyal, committed and motivated teams are on top of their game and provide a first class service to all of our clients.

I'd really like to be able to pass on some feedback about George, and the way that he handled both the initial call and the subsequent "special mission"! When I rang your office on 18th Feb, it was actually just to check whether you'd provided WebuyanyHome with a valuation; George answered my enquiry, but then demonstrated genuine curiosity and then empathy with the situation we were in - forced sale, impending deadline a week away, and a massive financial penalty if we failed to achieve it. What was really noticeable was his genuine desire to help, and he quickly spotted the opportunity to turn it around from a "confirmation of quote" call into an "instruction to sell". Despite me being on the motorway, and juggling calls, in the space of an hour George had identified some prospective cash buyers, organised an instruction/ T&C's and lined up viewings for the following morning. Nothing short of incredible, and a real testament to his genuine desire to help and his relentless commitment to deliver. The following day he kept in constant touch, updating me on viewings and subsequent offers, and we agreed a sale. This enabled us to avoid a fire-sale situation with Webuy, and accept a developer's offer. That sale completed on Tuesday, and no-one was more delighted for us than George. George's communication skills, follow-through and professionalism in delivering on his commitments has been exceptional; in my role I am responsible for developing up and coming talent, and for spotting it;In my opinion, this young man has the drive, the communication skills, the dogged determination and the people skills to go a very long way in whatever field he chooses. I'm incredibly fortunate that on the 18th Feb he answered the phone;his passion and skills undoubtedly added around £40k to the sale price achieved by my mother on the sale of her property, and he took a massive weight off my shoulders in doing so. I really wish that there was a proper way of thanking him, and affording him the recognition he deserves.
