    Leigh Reeves MNAEA Professional Bio.
I have lived in Norwich and Norfolk since the mid 1980's and my wife and I moved into Thorpe St Andrew in 2006.

I started Morton Reeves back in 2014, since then we have faced some significant challenges like, Brexit and Covid 19, but with excellent recommendations and referrals from past clients we are still growing today.

My career started as a youth trainee for a local independent in Great Yarmouth, as I was earning very little at the time and I took a part time job as well to top up my income! This was back in the mid 90's when the property market was still on its knees from the 1989 crash. The silver lining to this, was that it gave me the time to qualify. I achieved my NVQ level III in estate agency which was actually the only qualification in estate agency at the time. Times were hard, but as a nineteen year old I'd saved up and saw an opportunity to buy my first home. A steal at £23,500. A tiny 2 bed mid terrace house that needed some work... I jumped at it!

My next job in Agency was for a corporate. Wow what a change.

An extremely fast paced office in central Norwich. The volume of business was immense in comparison to what I had been used to. I worked as a viewing rep to prove myself, quickly being promoted to valuer.

I then had the opportunity to work in Suffolk, managing my own branch and I did this for a number of years building up a thriving business. Then one day I had a call from a friend of mine who knew about a job coming up....It was closer to home, working in Wroxham. The company was a more comfortable fit and there are some really lovely homes down on the river in that area, a chance to spread my wings... so that was my next move.

I thought I knew it all!! By this time, I had worked in property for about 10 years and it was a surprise that I really didn't know as much as I thought I did! Dealing with larger property with land or paddocks as well as moorings and river frontage really opened my eyes. I had to learn to value all over again and in a different way. The company I worked for were Chartered Surveyors so I was educated largely by surveyors. My time there was close to 9 years with a brief switch of offices in the middle and a spell in lettings when the market wobbled again in 2007.

In my career I have seen the birth of the internet completely change the way we sell property. We used to have a box of names on the desk and a newspaper advert... Now it's all about the internet. Times have changed...

I believe in treating people how I would want to be treated myself. This means there are no silly questions and I am always available to talk things through.

Generally a home is someone's most valuable asset... I like to take the time to get to know people and to establish what it is that they really want... and how I can help them get there.

Putting all the professional work aside, my passions in life are photography, travel and scuba diving.

My wife and I love to travel. We have visited some pretty random places over the years, we love to learn about new cultures and experience other cuisines and ways of life.

When we go away I will often try to squeeze in a dive or two when I can get away with it!

Over the last few years I have started diving more in the UK in lakes and quarries and now also on the North Norfolk Coast which can be challenging but very rewarding.

    Paul Sullivan MNAEA Professional Bio.
I have been working within the Norfolk property market for the last 37 years with a career spanning both corporate and independent agency valuing and selling properties. Guiding clients through the moving journey from the initial first contact and valuation process, onto marketing and through to a successful sale and completion/moving in.

I grew up in the market town of Aylsham where I attended the high school. With my parents then moving to Hellesdon where I lived until I got married in 1988.

After leaving school I attended Norwich City College where I obtained a Btec award in Valuation and Property Management, a college diploma in Valuation and Estate Agency following a 2 year fulltime course and an Higher National Diploma in Land Use on a 2 year day release course. I did consider becoming a surveyor but decided the role of an estate agent appealed and the chance to work rather than study for several more years.

My estate agency career initially began in 1985 working for a corporate estate agent initially as a trainee negotiator based in Norwich progressing to a valuer then being promoted to an office manager at Aylsham. I then moved to run the North Walsham and Stalham offices, after some 15 years I decided it was time for a change.

I moved to an independent agent based in Norwich in 2000 which also involved running offices at Dereham and Brundall undertaking property valuations, organising sales teams and running multiple offices.

In 2013 I decided to move back to my hometown of Aylsham working for an established independent, multiple disciplined firm running the Aylsham office. The work amongst other things involved valuing a very diverse range of properties across a large part of North Norfolk and the broads. With the onset of covid 19 estate agency became more challenging with home working, virtual viewings and how we engaged and undertook both valuations and viewings whilst working within government regulations to ensure clients safety.

I have always specialised in property valuations from studio flats to Georgian farmhouses with land across Norfolk in both city and county locations. Estate agency is a unique and very rewarding profession and I enjoy helping clients to achieve the sale and purchase they want.

    Paul Sullivan Personal Bio.
In my personal life, I love spending time with family, I am married with 2 children and a granddaughter. Taking timeout with my granddaughter at the weekends is one of my favourite things and going on walks to the beach and the beautiful North Norfolk broads and countryside, with the bonus of a coffee and cake treat afterwards!

Sport has always been a huge part of my life, I am a lifelong West Ham fan and season ticket holder and enjoy getting to watch the games when I can.

Running is my main hobby offering both a competitive interest but also a great social benefit. I run any distance from 5k to ultra marathons. My best running memory would be running a personal best of 2 hours 55 minutes in the London marathon. More recently I have taken part in an off-road ultra marathon which included climbing Snowdon as part of the race.

I also enjoying cycling around the countryside, I have just completed the cycle swarm 70-mile bike ride around Norfolk.

When I'm looking to relax I love to go coarse fishing, I like nothing better than to find a quiet lake, enjoy watching the local wildlife. Not always catching but enjoying simply being by the waterside.

"After a 27 career in estate agency I decided to follow a long held photography dream by going self employed in 2013 to provide services to estate agents - property photography, floor plans and energy performance certificates.

I live in North Walsham with my wife of 32 years. We have a grown up son and two grandchildren.

In my spare time I enjoy playing lawn bowls and billiards."

    Testimonials from Sellers

    • Seller Testimonial

kept me in the loop and chased up both solicitors.
Paul at Morton Reeves Estate Agents was fantastic from start to finish. The initial consultation and valuation was professional, honest and without any pressure to make decisions. Paul gave good advice which reflected the market and my individual circumstances. Paul also took time to get to know me and to understand how I wished to manage my sale- I am a teacher so I cannot answer phone calls during the day. Paul respected my wishes and I was able to trust his judgement about arranging steps during the process.

Paul put together an excellent advertisement for my property and came to the house multiple times to capture the house in different lights. Morton Reeves conducted the viewings and within 2 weeks an offer had been accepted. Paul went above and beyond to communicate between the buyer and myself- even if it was outside of working hours.

Throughout the selling process Paul communicated between myself and the buyer and would always get back to me on the same day. Paul kept me in the loop and chased up both solicitors. I wouldn't hesitate to sell my property with Morton Reeves again- I cannot fault what has been a seamless sale.

      Thank you Paul.

From start to finish an excellent service
Leigh Reeves acted as estate agent for my mother who sold her house in Norwich. From start to finish an excellent service. From property details to overcoming hurdles the service was second to none. Leigh was thoughtful and compassionate in dealings with my mother, and went above the call if duty to help during Covid restrictions.

His price was very competitive, and what we got for that investment was the best estate agent support I have ever experienced.

I would not go anywhere else if I lived in Norwich for estate agent services after having dealt with Leigh Reeves. As you may guess I would recommend this company without any hesitation whatsoever.

always had his 'finger on the pulse'
I would very highly recommend Paul Sullivan, from Morton Reeves, who acted on our behalf for a sale in Thorpe St Andrew, Norwich.

Throughout the process, Paul proved to be extremely pro-active, always had his 'finger on the pulse' and stayed in regular contact with us as well as our buyers.

He carefully managed the process of the sale on our behalf, providing helpful & timely advice; it genuinely felt like nothing was too much trouble and his experience as well as expertise, we highly valued.

Thank you for an excellent service.

One of my best decisions was to change...
I met Leigh whilst viewing one of the properties he was marketing and was so impressed with his professional manner and helpfulness, I approached him to market mine as this was how I wanted my property marketed!

There was no rushing through the property as I had experienced with some other agents! Brilliant photos that took time and thought to get! Great communication and always kept in the loop!

From beginning to end his advice and guidance were invaluable!

Going forward I would look no further than Morton Reeves and would highly recommend! I had started off with another agency but was soon regretting it. One of my best decisions was to change...... It was like a breath of fresh air and a weight off my shoulders!

      Thanks Leigh!
