Last year most property sales in Barrington Colliery involved terraced properties which sold for on average £80,643. Detached properties sold for an average price of £180,583, while semi-detached properties fetched £134,965.
Barrington Colliery, with an overall average price of £110,100, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Choppington (£105,165), but was cheaper than Blyth (£135,713) and Bedlington (£135,976).
During the last year, sold prices in Barrington Colliery were 9% up on the previous year and 24% down on 2015 when the average house price was £145,052.
There were only 24 properties sold in the last year, therefore, the average prices may only reflect the mix of properties sold, rather than changes in the local market itself.
