Last year most property sales in Cullercoats involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £222,161. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £233,672, while flats fetched £134,152.
Cullercoats, with an overall average price of £223,817 was more expensive than nearby Monkseaton (£210,455) and North Shields (£186,582), but was cheaper than Tynemouth (£320,226).
During the last year, sold prices in Cullercoats were 3% up on the previous year and 10% up on 2015 when the average house price was £202,594.
