Most of the sales in Upper Penydarren over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £82,372. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £134,307 and detached properties averaged at £195,797.
Upper Penydarren, with an overall average price of £114,381, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Merthyr Tydfil (£119,106), but was more expensive than Dowlais (£85,197) and Penydarren (£103,503).
In the past year house prices in Upper Penydarren were 4% down on the year before and 12% down on 2016 when they averaged at £129,373.
