Meet Iain Kennedy – Speaker at EA Live

There’s two weeks until EA Live in London and we’re starting to get very excited! The date is set, the location is getting prepped and the speakers have been announced… and one of them is our very own Head of Marketing, Iain Kennedy.

So, we thought we’d set the scene and tell you a bit about Iain – so you can get as excited as us for the big day. See what Iain’s got to say for himself below.

Hi Iain, tell us some interesting facts about yourself!

Well, I am Scottish and have one wife, four daughters and a cockapoo named Inca. I have flown more than 1,000,000 miles in my life, visiting more than 40 countries around the world.

What were you up to before you worked at Rightmove?

Before I came to Rightmove I was self-employed and working for a variety of companies, helping them with marketing and branding problems. For the majority of my career I worked for a global alcohol beverage business so I have been able to drink my way around the world (someone had to do it!).

And, now, what are you up to over at Rightmove?

 

We are always working on how best to attract home movers to Rightmove in a way that helps agents.

And now, on to EA Live! Can you give us a swift roundup of what you’ll be talking about?

Sure, I am going to talk about a few lessons I have learnt from my career in marketing that might help agents to improve how they stand out from their competitors.

Do you have a quick tip on marketing in the meantime?

Take time to make things simpler than simple.

What are you looking most forward to about the event?

Meeting people is always the best bit. Everyone has an interesting story.
