5 tips for the ultimate commercial property listing

Commercial occupiers are looking for a property that fits their needs and reflects well on their company.

Follow our 5 top tips below to create commercial property listings that show off your properties in the best possible light.

It’s all about the photos.

Well-shot images that focus on the best features of your properties are the best way to grab the attention of potential customers. Make sure your photos:

  • Give a good sense of the space available – showing the premises in the cleanest and clearest way
  • Show the exterior and every room available, including any shared reception or communcal areas so people can envisage hosting visitors.

We’d recommend including between 5 and 8 images in total.

Add a brochure and/or particulars.

You can attach your own branded brochure, or property particulars, for free with your commercial listings. Make sure to use this as it’s a great way to give someone more information on a property and to promote your brand on Rightmove.

It sounds obvious but if you fill in all of the details, you’re likely to get better quality enquiries.  Include complete information around:

  • Square footage
  • The existing lease situation
  • Rates
  • How viewings can be arranged

This will reduce the number of time wasters and encourage those who have a genuine interest to get in touch with you.

Keep things fresh

If you’ve had a property listed for quite a while, something simple like refreshing the summary text that appears on the search results page and making a different photo the lead image, could re-ignite interest in your property.
