Important Updates to Rental Adverts following CMA Guidance

From 1st December all Rightmove lettings members (excluding those in Scotland) must include details of their tenancy fees on all of their rental property adverts.

We have updated Rightmove with a new field for this purpose for both data-feed and manual loaders. You now have the ability to make these changes to your Rightmove listings.

Rightmove has undertaken these changes following new guidance from the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA, previously known as the Office of Fair Trading) and the Advertising Standard Authority (ASA), which states that lettings agents must now reference specific details of their tenancy fees that apply on all rental property adverts on portals. For more information on the CMA guidance please click here.

As agreed with by the ASA, we added a specific field to all Rightmove rental adverts where the applicable tenancy fees must be displayed.

If you upload your properties through a datafeed provider please contact them directly with any questions about how or where to input the relevant information. If you a manual loader, please click here for the guide on how to do this yourself.
