Government Housing Directors join Rightmove webinar to answer agents’ Renters’ Rights Act questions directly
Rightmove, the UK’s largest property platform, has secured a live webinar with senior government housing directors to answer agent’s and landlord’s questions about the new Renters’ Rights Act directly.
The Renters’ Rights Act is now law, marking the biggest shift in the rental market in decades.
The webinar titled ‘Renters’ Rights Act: Exclusive Government Live Q&A’ is taking place on Thursday 4th December between 10:00-11:00am, open to agents and landlords, to help them navigate the necessary changes.
Stephanie Kvam, Deputy Director for PRS Housing Redress and Regulatory Systems at MHCLG, and Ross McInnes, Deputy Director for PRS Strategy, Security and Standards at MHCLG, will break down the Act and answer agents and landlords most pressing questions on compliance and timelines.
Stephanie leads reforms to improve tenants’ experiences in the private rented sector and brings over 20 years’ housing policy expertise, while Ross oversees delivery of the new tenancy system and Decent Homes Standard.
Agents and landlords can sign up now via the Rightmove Hub to secure a place.
Attendees can expect to leave the session with a better understanding of:
- Rollout timeline and how to prepare
- Impact of periodic tenancies on portfolios
- Grounds for repossession and the new Landlord Ombudsman Scheme
- Practical steps to stay compliant and avoid Rent Repayment Orders
Rightmove’s mission is to support agents and landlords through legislative change with trusted training and resources.
Christian Balshen, Director of Agency Partnerships at Rightmove, adds, “The Renters’ Rights Act transforms how landlords and agents operate. This is a must-attend event for anyone navigating these changes.
