Rightmove webinar to help agents get rents right under the Renters’ Rights Act

Rightmove, the UK’s largest property portal is hosting a webinar to help letting agents prepare for changes under the Renters’ Rights Act, with practical guidance on setting, reviewing and managing rents in line with the new rules.

Taking place on Wednesday 24 June, 10:00–11:00am, the session marks the return of industry expert David d’Orton-Gibson, who will share insights to help agents approach rent setting with greater confidence and clarity.

What agents will learn:

  • How to set a fair market rent that stands up to scrutiny
  • What evidence agents need to record in case of rent challenges
  • How to handle tenant requests to change rent payment dates
  • Practical steps to prepare for potential First-tier Tribunal cases

The session is designed to support agents looking to strengthen their understanding of the new rules while continuing to deliver a consistent and professional service to landlords and tenants.

Jason Charles, Head of Education at Rightmove, said: “The Renters’ Rights Act has changed how rents are set, reviewed and managed, and agents need to feel confident navigating these new expectations day to day. This webinar is designed to give clear, practical guidance on some of the areas agents are being asked about most, helping them approach change with clarity and consistency.”

The webinar forms part of Rightmove’s ongoing programme of support for agents, helping them stay informed and prepared as the regulatory landscape evolves.
