Rightmove webinar to help prepare agents for home-moving reform

Rightmove, the UK’s largest property platform, is hosting a webinar to help agents prepare for the Government’s Home Buying and Selling Reform, which will introduce upfront sales packs, digital property logbooks and more upfront property information across England and Wales. 

Taking place on Wednesday 23 September 10:00am – 11:00am, the ‘Property Information Revolution’ session will be hosted by Rightmove with special guest Sally Holdway, founder of Home Owner’s Passport and a leading voice on property information reform. 

The session will explore how agents can turn the incoming changes into opportunities to improve certainty, win more business and build stronger client relationships, at a time when the industry is preparing for one of the biggest shifts in how property transactions are conducted. 

Webinar content will include: 

• Property Red flags that can delay sales: leasehold issues, restrictive covenants, rights of way, flood risk and other common problems, plus how to tackle them early 

• What ‘transaction ready’ really looks like: what belongs in a quality sales pack and how to assess whether information is conveyancer-ready  

• How to choose the right provider: what to look for in a sales pack provider, why source data matters, and how to avoid information that only appears complete 

Jason Charles, Head of Education at Rightmove, said: “The Government’s proposed reforms are designed to create a faster, more transparent process for buyers. As greater emphasis is placed on upfront information, agents will need to understand how to spot potential issues earlier and help prevent avoidable delays. In this session, agents will be able to hear from Sally on where transactions most commonly stall, the warning signs agents should look out for, and the practical steps they can take to keep chains moving and reduce unnecessary delays.”

All attendees will also receive a one-page guide to the Government’s property reform roadmap, a guide to the most common transaction red flags, and a practical action plan for implementing material information, sales packs and property logbooks in their branch. A live Q&A will give agents the chance to put their questions to Sally directly, with a recording made available afterwards for anyone unable to attend on the day.
