Three Holes is a hamlet near Upwell in Norfolk, Located on the border of Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, the two sides of the River are in separate counties. Three Holes is a very small Village Hamlet lying just within the Norfolk boundary, on the A1101 between Ely and Wisbech. The Village Hamlet is roughly 8 miles from Wisbech, March and Downham Market, and was originally known as 'Wadingstow'. Up until a few years ago, Three Holes was a very popular destination with Fishermen, attracting Anglers from as far as Yorkshire. Today the rivers are fished to a lesser degree, but still stock Roach, Pike, Bream and Eels. Three Holes has a Playing Field, Village Hall and a Public House, as well as a General Store.
