Description

Location, location, location! This quintessential three-bedroom weather boarded cottage is nestled amongst the Kent countryside directly opposite an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Seated within its own generous gardens and mature woodland you can truly feel the peace and tranquillity of which the current owners have enjoyed for the past 18 years.

The property itself is crying out for someone to come and make it their own, with exposed timbers and traditional log burner this home exudes character. Being unlisted and over 300 years old you're given the rare opportunity to really put your personal stamp on a house of this age. Having already been extended and had a conservatory put on it you're limited only by what you can envision.

In the grounds itself you'll find yourself wandering amongst wildflowers and borders alike with the odd duck or two crossing your path from your stream fed pond. This property truly must be seen to fully appreciate all it has to offer. Call us now to book in for a viewing.

Biddenden is a large, mostly agricultural, and wooded village and civil parish in the borough of Ashford in Kent, England. The village lies on the Weald of Kent, some 5 miles (8 km) north of Tenterden. It was a centre for the Wealden iron industry and also of cloth making.

An important cottage industry has developed to the west, where numerous vineyards and orchards produce varietal wines, ciders and juices. Many of which are made by the local favourite Biddenden Vineyards whose premises are close to the clustered village centre.

In 1100, Mary and Eliza Chulkhurst, a pair of conjoined twins, were supposedly born in the village. The origin of the perpetual charity of Biddenden is celebrated in the village signage of the Biddenden Maids, as they became known. The Biddenden Consolidated Charity provides Biddenden pensioners and widows with bread, cheese, and tea at Easter, a cash payment at Christmas, and distribution of Biddenden cakes.
