The Old Police House offers deceptively spacious, versatile accommodation perfectly suited to families or couples alike. The home has recently been sympathetically enhanced and refurbished. The well-balanced, generous accommodation comprises a welcoming entrance hall, which leads to the dual aspect formal sitting room with a wood-burning stove. There is a breakfast/dining room and an open plan, spacious kitchen. This 'heart of the home' room is flooded with natural light and is comprehensively appointed whilst enjoying lovely views across the sizable gardens. There is a beautiful conservatory across the rear of the sitting room that has French doors leading out to the garden, the perfect summer room and with glorious views towards the Fovant Badges. A useful study/fifth bedroom and a cloakroom completes the ground floor accommodation.

On the first floor, there are three generous double bedrooms and a single bedroom with the principle bedroom offering stupendous views of over 180 degree's across to Fovant Badges, rolling countryside and the grounds. Also found on the first floor is a stylish and modern family bathroom and from the landing there is access to a balcony with which to further enjoy the views.

Outside

The garden is a particular feature of this home extending to just over 1/4 of an acre. The home occupies an elevated position to the forefront of its plot with parking for several vehicles on a gated driveway, which in turn leads to the detached garage. There is also an additional parking area as you approach the home. There is a decorative front garden with lawn and floral borders behind an attractive hedged boundary. The garden is mainly to the rear and has been beautifully landscaped and managed creating useable garden areas. An established lawn wraps around the home extending out to a raised decked area to the side of the house. The lawn is flanked and interspersed with colourful floral and herbaceous borders and beds. The whole rear boundary is hedged to provide a high degree of privacy. There is a large shed/summer room, a metal shed and a covered log store and tool store. The gardens are surrounded by open farmland affording superb wildlife watching opportunities.

Situation

The thriving and highly sought-after village of Fovant is found in the heart of the Nadder Valley. Local amenities include a village shop, Post Office, doctors’ surgery and a village pub. The area has a thriving community, with an array of vibrant farm shops, award winning pubs and cafes. Additional Information

Historical Note: The Fovant Badges are a set of regimental badges cut into the chalk downland, Fovant Down. They were created by soldiers garrisoned nearby, and waiting to go to France, during the First World War; the first in 1916. Nine of the original twenty remain, and are scheduled ancient monuments and recognised by the Imperial War Museum.
