Description

Enjoying scintillating sea, coastal and beach views in one of Porthleven's most popular areas, is this beautifully presented, one bedroom house. The residence, which has been renovated by the current owners, has its accommodation arranged into reverse level to take full advantage of the dramatic outlook. The property is currently run as a successful holiday let and benefits from modern electric heating and double glazing.

In brief, the accommodation comprises a galley style kitchen and, completing the first floor, a lounge/diner. On the ground floor is a bedroom and an en suite shower room.

Porthleven is a thriving seaside Cornish fishing village with its large harbour providing a focal point. Around this cluster many pubs, restaurants and businesses. The village provides amenities to cater for everyday needs as well as a primary school, whilst the more comprehensive amenities of Helston are a few miles distant and these include national stores, cinema and sports centre with indoor swimming pool. Located between Helston and Porthleven is the beautiful Penrose Estate, managed by The National Trust, with its many walks and trails through the Cornish countryside around Loe Pool which is Cornwall's largest natural fresh water lake. Porthleven has a prize winning Brass Band which, on many a summer's Sunday evening, can be heard echoing around the village, creating atmosphere and ambience for both residents and visitors.

About Christophers, Helston

Christophers Estate Agents is an independent estate agency that was started with a view of providing "pure traditional estate agency".

The company was established in 2002 and has an experienced team who for many years have dealt with property in this district.

We are indeed privileged to work in an area of such natural beauty. Helston is the gateway and commercial centre for the Lizard Peninsula and provides a range of national stores, Comprehensive School, College, Sports Centre with indoor swimming pool and a Cinema. The town is linked to the coast by the beautiful Penrose Estate which is also home to Cornwall's largest natural fresh water lake at Loe Pool.

To the west our area skirts around Mount's Bay and it encompasses a number of highly regarded villages and attractive areas of open countryside.

Flora Day is the most important day in the Helston calendar. It takes place at the beginning of May each year and although it's origins are lost in the mists of time it is believed to have been performed by the townsfolk for hundreds if not thousands of years. During the day four Furry dances take place the first one starting at 7.00 a.m. in the morning! Thousands of people throng the streets of this Ancient Market town to welcome in the Spring. The principal dance takes place at 12 noon with the gentleman in morning suits and top hats and the ladies wearing long colourful dresses with splendid hats.
