Erlestoke is a pretty village tucked beneath the Westbury Hills between the villages of Edington with its Priory and the popular Three Daggers pub, micro brewery and farm shop, and Great Cheverell which has a village shop at The Bell public house. The George and Dragon on the High St, Erlestoke has just been totally refurbished and is within reasonable walking distance of the property.
The vibrant market towns of Devizes and Warminster are well within ten miles and provide plenty of choice for restaurants and bars, supermarkets and independent shops, culture and entertainment. For a wider range of amenities, the historic cities of Bath and Salisbury are well within an hour and, for the sporty, there are plenty of local golf clubs including Erlestoke Golf Club which is within walking distance of the property and of course, there is easy access onto Salisbury Plain for walking, mountain biking and horse riding. Great Cheverell and Bratton both have well regarded primary schools and Market Lavington; which is less than three miles away, has two excellent secondary schools; Dauntsey's and Lavington School. From our offices in the Market Place, Devizes head south up Long Street then right at the top on to the Potterne Road. Follow the road through the village of Potterne and out the other side for approximately 5 miles. Take the right hand turn signed to Great Cheverel just before the railway bridge, and follow this road through Great Cheverel, turning right when you come to the T Junction just after the school. Follow this road into Erlestoke and take the right turn just after the pub into Lower Road. Continue down here for approx 1.5 miles and the property will be found on the right hand side. Take the driveway just in front of the property and park at the rear.
