LOCATION

Whistlers is located in the conservation area of Itchenor, a highly regarded harbour side village renowned for its popular sailing club and 24 hour launching facilities. The village has a beautiful church, village hall and popular public house. Much of the surrounding countryside is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and provides stunning walks beside the harbour. Nearby, the Salterns Way cycle path links West Wittering to Chichester via Birdham Pool and Chichester Marina. The Cathedral City of Chichester lies some 7½ miles to the north and offers a broad range of shopping, cultural and leisure facilities including the renowned Festival Theatre, galleries, museums and restaurants. Aside from sailing, leisure facilities within the area include golf at Goodwood and Hunston, bathing from the beaches of West Wittering and East Head, the last of which is owned and managed by the National Trust and is a popular yacht anchorage. Horseracing may be enjoyed at Fontwell and Goodwood where the annual Festival of Speed, and Revival meetings are also hosted. Chichester has three good comprehensive schools plus well thought of primary schools in Birdham and West Wittering.

The mainline station in Chichester provides a regular service to London Victoria in about 1 hour 40 minutes, and Havant station to the west provides a faster service to London Waterloo in about 1 hour 20 minutes
