Pontypridd is a university and market town at the gateway to the valleys, roughly half way between Merthyr Tydfil and Cardiff. The town has plenty of shopping and local attractions, and there are excellent rail, bus and road links, whether you work in Cardiff, Merthyr or beyond.
There's a wide variety of property in the town as well as the surrounding areas of Graigwen, Maesycoed, The Common, Cilfynydd, Trallwng and Treforest. Choose from period terraces to bungalows and new build family homes. Many of the primary and secondary schools in the town and the surrounding areas are rated 'good'.
'Ponty' is a bustling town with plenty to do. There are some great pubs and restaurants, an indoor market, the Muni Arts Centre puts on comedy and music acts, and the Ynysangharad Park in the centre of town has Lido Ponty, a restored Grade II listed lido, plus mini-golf and a fantastic adventure playground. Many outdoor concerts are staged here, including the annual Party in the Park.
