Key features

  • A spacious and extended detached bungalow
  • In and out driveway with parking for 3-4 cars
  • Potential to convert part of property into a 1 bedroom annexe
  • Open plan kitchen/diner with bifolds out to garden
  • Excellent south facing rear garden with large terrace for entertaining
  • Early possession possible as no onward chain
  • EPC energy rating E

This veritable Tardis of an extended, detached bungalow includes five double bedrooms, three bathrooms and a large, light and bright kitchen/diner as well as the opportunity to incorporate a separate annexe. It is accessed via a carriage driveway where you can easily park three cars and the front door opens into the entrance hall with direct access to the original accommodation including the family bathroom, two double bedroom with fitted cupboards and the main bedroom that also has an en suite shower.

The spacious, dual aspect sitting room has double glass and oak doors to the superb modern, light and bright kitchen/diner in the extension built in 2017. It includes engineered oak flooring, an atrium style skylight and four aluminium framed bi-fold doors to the terrace. The kitchen area has flat-fronted units housing various appliances and access to the utility room. This leads to a double bedroom with French doors to a terrace, a contemporary walk-in shower room and a large room with herringbone parquet flooring that could be another bedroom. However it has a separate external door to the driveway and fitted units including a sink so could become a living room/kitchen, therefore the whole area could be a separate annexe. A sandstone terrace leads to a large garden that is mainly laid to lawn with shrub beds and bordered by fencing with flower and shrub borders.

What the Owner says:

When we bought the bungalow, we could see the potential to extend and are proud of the additions and upgrades that include the extension, internal oak doors and modern fitted wardrobes. We have enjoyed living here for the past seven years as we love the peaceful environment but feel we need to downsize, although we shall stay local as we love the area and it is only a short walk to the beach, the town centre and the golf club. There are nearby stables and various sporting clubs including cricket, bowls, tennis and rugby.
Broadstairs is a lovely Victorian seaside town with individual shops, beaches, bars and restaurants as well as annual events such as Folk Week, the Dickens Festival and the Food Fair. Both Broadstairs and Ramsgate have some very good primary, grammar and private schools while you can be in central London on the high speed train in under an hour and a half from Broadstairs station.
