The Georgian market town of Easingwold is a few minutes’ drive away; the City of York lies to the south, the A1 to the west; and the East Coast mainline runs through Thirsk and York. There are excellent state and private schooling options within easy reach, including Ampleforth, Cundall and Queen Mary's in Topcliffe.
