A friendly word from the owner...

'Hailing from North London, it never crossed my mind to look at Walthamstow as my new home.  Loving the Islington vibe but not the Islington prices, I needed to find a new home where I had that same feeling.  One Christmas a friend of mine who was living in Walthamstow, arranged a get-together in the Castle Pub, this was my first venture into Walthamstow, and I was totally smitten. I’ve now been living in Walthamstow since 2007 and I have enjoyed every moment.  The Village has a great selection of bars, restaurants, and pubs, as well as beautiful period streets and buildings, The Ancient house, St Mary’s Church, Vestry house Museum, and 1 St Mary Road… When I walked past the for-sale sign back in 2012 I knew I just had to live here.  I’d always liked the brick fronted period building with Its sash windows in a quiet cul-de-sac, just at the end of Church Path.  The apartment is in the attic giving it a great loft feel, nice and quiet with no one above you, very high ceilings, and great light with an open view. I was very impressed by the size of the apartment, a spacious living / dining room and 2 double bedrooms, which are very difficult to find. There are only 6 apartments in our block, and they are all great community spirited neighbours. The transport links are amazing, 24-Hour Victoria Line, Kings Cross St Pancras in 15 mins, Oxford Circus in 20 mins, or the overground to Liverpool Street.  Hoe street has changed so much with cafes, bakeries, delicatessens, and the Farmers Market on a Sunday morning is a must for the tastiest food going. Family circumstances force me to move on, but Walthamstow has been a wonderful home, it has so much to offer, and I am sure that you will love living here as much as I have.'
