History

In 1979 the farm was part of a larger estate owned by Reverend Fytche and was then known as Leakes Farm. In 1805 the farm was sold as a dowry for this two daughters to Joshua Fytche and in 1805 his daughter Elizabeth, renowned as a local beauty, married George Tennyson and became the mother of the celebrated poet, Lord Alfred Tennyson.

The property was sold again in 1826 and then again in 1840. The new owners in 1840, the Pinder family, where the house gets its name stayed in the house until 1980.

The original house consisted of two rooms which are now the dining room and study, with signs of the old staircase.
