In the town there are picturesque old streets and three churches to view. The most historically important being The Church of Santa Maria a Vico which was built during the first millennium AD and is one of the oldest surviving monuments in Abruzzo.

The village has a population of 5,288 which has access to many facilities including a weekly market held each Sunday morning.
