Description

Moments from Regent’s Park and the centre of Camden Town, this two-bedroom apartment is part of a striking, modern development created from a building with an industrial legacy.

Brickworks Says - Set on the ground floor of a converted 1930s electrical substation, this standout apartment leans into the characteristics of the building's industrial past, with soaring ceilings and expansive windows that flood the internal spaces in natural light.

The footprint is more than 1,000 square feet, and the fact it's laid out over one floor enhances the feeling of freedom and space. This is most evident in the living room –– at nearly 8m in length, the proportions are grand in scale and immediately compelling. Yet, the room still feels intimate, with clearly defined zones for cooking, eating and relaxing.

Stepping in, the apartment has an impressive entrance hallway, two good-sized bathrooms (including one en suite), and two comfortable double bedrooms. There is also ample storage, from fitted wardrobes and cupboards to a priceless storage room in the basement, where there are also a large number of secure spaces to store bikes. There is a place for everything, and everything has its place.

Camden Town is an iconic location, long sought out by visitors for its musical heritage, market stalls and the meandering canal. Yet, on closer inspection, it's easy to understand why this corner of London is such a great place to call home. Incredibly central, you can walk into the heart of London with ease, plus you have two of our greatest green spaces on your doorstep: Regent's Park and Primrose Hill. On top of that, there is an unbeatable selection of shops, cafés, bars and restaurants, from hidden gems to household names. And when you need to get further afield, St Pancras International is just five minutes away on the tube.

The Owners Say - Our favourite things about living here are the design of the building (inside & outside), the dimensions and quiet of the apartment itself and the location. Our three-metre high ceilings are always a wow factor when we have guests over and lend a great sense of space to the rooms. The apartment is well-insulated (to the point we do not often have the heating on, even in the winter). We are rarely conscious of the outside world when we are home, which is astonishing given we are in the middle of London.

Everything you could ever want or need is within easy reach, even internationally via the airports - we have been in our kitchen 60 minutes after disembarking from a flight into Heathrow. We have a huge range of transport options on the doorstep, with countless buses seconds away and tube and overground stations just a very short walk from the front door. St Pancras International - gateway to Europe, the south coast or north to Scotland - is just a 15-minute walk or five-minute tube journey away. We have a huge range of shops here, too, from a huge Marks & Spencer food hall to a Whole Foods and countless independent eating options in between, to a myriad of clothing, music and everything-else shops scattered throughout Camden and Primrose Hill. There are also a multitude of live music venues and theatres within easy reach other than the West End, including the Roundhouse, Koko, the Jazz Café, Hampstead Theatre and the Almeida. We are a household of walkers, so we often wander down the canal to Coal Drops Yard at King's Cross or through Regent's Park to Marylebone High Street or St John's Wood.

On top of all of this, the icing on the cake has to be having the mighty green spaces and fabulous views of Regent's Park and Primrose Hill on your doorstep. The outdoor theatre and tennis club in Regent's Park are favourite spots in the summer, but we love the park all year around, especially when the Frieze arrives in the autumn and hearing the gibbons and lions as you wander by the zoo. We are also a short bus ride from Hampstead Heath, and the overground goes directly to Kew Gardens. We are not going to be going far when we move!
