Description

A rare and unique opportunity to buy a character home in the picturesque and sought after village of Ashley.

On entering the village Newmarket Road is a small terrace of houses situated a stones throw from the village duck pond.  All the houses along the terrace have small individually decorated and planted front gardens which add to the charm of this community. Number 8 also has a dedicated parking space with a charger for an electrical vehicle.

Don’t be deceived by the petite exterior of this property once inside the rooms are spacious and inviting.

Through the front door you enter the kitchen, with tradtional wood style floor and understated cream shaker style kitchen. Fully fitted with both wall mounted and floor standing cabinetry there is plenty of storage space (which includes a large pantry style cupboard. The sink is under the window which has its aspect to the front of the property. Further space allows for a cooker, fridge/freezer and free standing dresser.

Heading through to the living space you are initially greeted with the dining area generous in proportion and with stairs leading to the first floor. Adjacent is the sitting room which is bathed in light from a ceiling lantern, and is spacious enough to house a large L shaped sofa. Decorated in light tones and finished with a quality wood effect floor.

To the rear of the first floor is the bathroom with white sanitary wear and handbasin and an individual shower cubical, with tiled floor and window to the garden aspect.

Up to the first floor we have the bedrooms, both of which can accommodate a double bed. The larger of the two with its front aspect also has good space to fit additional bedroom furniture. The smaller bedroom to the rear is currently used as an office. It should be noted that both bedrooms have lovely views over the neighbourhood as shown in the pictures.

To the rear of the property is a fully enclosed garden with small patio and a raised area bordered by railway sleepers and decorated with shingle (but could easily be returned to a traditional cottage style garden). There is an access gate out to the rear of the property.
