Jacobs Properties is the recent and exciting formation of two very successful local agencies coming together to form a single brand - Blue House Estate Agents and Letcom Property Agents. Having worked together in partnership for many years it made total sense to join up and operate as one company providing both sales and letting services. So here we are as of the 1stJuly 2018 - JACOBS PROPERTIES - serving Oakley and Basingstoke and the surrounding area.

Letcom Property Agents always enjoyed excellent and consistent growth from the outset - some 25 years ago. Back in the 1980's many high-tech companies were expanding and making Basingstoke their choice of head office. This led to an increase in demand from professionals looking for quality accommodation. To respond to this demand we purchased and converted several properties to HMO (Houses of Multiple Occupation) status as well as worked for landlords to find suitable tenants. As people settled in Basingstoke we also became increasingly interested in the property sales marketplace.

In the 1990's the buy-to-let market took off as new legislation gave landlords greater protection, new mortgage products came on to the market and general demand from renters increased as the population grew. Suddenly investing in property was seen as an attractive alternative topensions with some even becoming professional landlords making property their daily work or at least a route to early retirement. Letcom grew from strength to strength as it continually invested in new technology, training, websites, marketing, staff, offices.

Blue House Estate Agents, with its offices above the chemist began life in the very heart of the Oakley village in 2011. The agency compared to all other agents and as measured by Rightmove official data, sold more properties in the village year on year since it's inauguration. The ability to respond quickly, offer a personal level of service, having local knowledge and providing expert advice being central to this success.
