Description

Description

Rose cottage is a charming, thatched property situated on the outskirts of this popular Exe Valley village. A new thatch was fitted in 2020 whilst internally there are exposed beams and well-presented accommodation throughout. The 21 FT sitting/dining room is dual aspect with an inglenook fireplace and an electric log effect burner and stone hearth. The dining area has room for a table and chairs with stairs rising to the first floor.

The kitchen has a high vaulted ceiling, three velux windows and is fitted with a range of cream wall, base and drawer units and wood worksurfaces. There is an integrated dishwasher, American style fridge freezer and a breakfast bar providing additional seating, a further storage area houses the boiler which supplies central heating and hot water. The kitchen opens to a larder area with useful fitted wooden shelving and a further door opening to the bathroom which is beautifully fitted with a white roll top clawfoot bath and shower attachment. On the first floor landing there are numerous interesting alcoves providing storage and display areas. The principal bedroom is a large double bedroom with dual aspect, far reaching views and a built-in wardrobe. The en suite has a fully tiled double shower enclosure.

Outside, the property is approached from the village lane with on street parking( not allocated) and a single garage in a separate block of four opposite the property. A real feature of the cottage are the gardens which are mainly located to the side, benefiting from superb facing countryside views. There are several areas of lawn, well stocked with shrubs and trees. These are linked by paths and steps to a timber deck area, ideal for dining out and enjoying the views. To the far corner of the garden has a further decked area with a hot tub and a summer house having power and a light, potentially suitable for an office.
