Description
Paint brushes at the ready! This is a fabulous opportunity for someone to simply refurbish and enjoy this home as a 3 bedroom or extend further (STPP) to create a larger property.
Step in through the front door and the first thing that grabs you is the light feel and spacious hallway which gives you a glimpse through to the views at the rear. The dual aspect living room has a focal fireplace, plenty of room for various sofas and a set of French doors which open up onto a veranda where you can enjoy a coffee in the morning enjoying your pretty front garden. A large window to the rear offers lovely views across the garden and ensures that the room is light and bright. A clean and tidy kitchen is fitted with a range of beech style units, double oven and breakfast bar where you can sit and watch the birds in the garden. Although it may not be your style, the kitchen is clean, tidy and comprehensively fitted enough to work with for now. A side door also takes you into the garden with a large storage cupboard and further door to a walkway through from the garage. From this area there is also a downstairs WC and a large utility alongside with sink and space for washing machine and tumble dryer. In addition a large spa style shower unit has also been fitted into this room. NOTE: A brand new Worcester boiler has recently been fitted.
Upstairs and there are 2 great sized double bedrooms alongside a 3rd single bedroom which would make a great study space with views over to the other period homes opposite, A retro pink bathroom is clean and tidy and also has a shower over the bath. Again, maybe not your taste but could be changed over time but not essential to replace immediately.
Outside to the rear is a private and sunny rear garden laid to lawn with deep borders filled with shrubs and flowers. A tucked away patio area offers a great place for a bite to eat and a useful shed for storage. Don't forget though that you also have a single garage and side gate back to the front. At the front is also a lovely garden area with landscaped steps down from the footpath, mature shrubs and lawn. The driveway offers space for parking off street for a couple of cars.
There is real potential (subject to planning) to extend over the garage and out to the side to create a larger, possibly 4 bedroom home here and this may suit some buyers with vision.
The village of Neston is very popular and to find a non estate home in this area is a rare opportunity for someone to grasp and run with. The primary school is incredibly popular and the village also benefits from the Neston Country Inn, a pretty church, and a village hall with a recreation field. A regular bus service runs through the village to take you into Corsham, but for those a little more energetic, there are walks across the fields that bring you into Corsham itself. Countryside walks surround the whole village and popular destinations are Whitley Village where you can stop off with the dog for a drink at The Pear Tree Inn or for a shorter walk, head towards Wadswick country store and its café, Forage, where you can grab a takeaway coffee and doughnut or sit and relax on the upper terrace taking in the views. You may need your wallet as popping in to browse the country store is hard to avoid! Transport links to Bath are excellent by road and access to the M4/M5 is available from either junction 18 or 17 depending on the direction you are headed. Chippenham also offers the mainline station with London Paddington within an hour's ride. The bus from Corsham drops you right outside. Corsham itself is one of the most sought-after towns in the South West with its resident peacocks strutting the streets and a wide variety of independent shops and facilities.
