The major conurbation and city of Leicester lies to the north. The attractive town of Market Harborough is set to the east and contains a good range of everyday shopping facilities, together with a commercial centre, leisure centre and golf club. Rugby is some 10 miles distant.
Communications in the area are excellent with a mainline train station available from Market Harborough and Leicester reaching London St Pancras in just over one hour and from Rugby to London Euston. The M1 motorway is accessible at Junction 20 and at Junction 19 the A14, M6 and M1 connect. International air travel is available at East Midlands Airport, Birmingham, Stansted and Luton.
