Contullich is a small settlement close to Ardross which is a rural community with easy access to Tain, Dornoch, Alness, Invergordon and Dingwall all of which offer a wide range of services and facilities. There is primary schooling available at Ardross Primary School. Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands, is approximately 22 miles by road and has a modern shopping centre, hospital, theatre, cinemas and a mainline railway station. Inverness Airport has a variety of services to destinations both domestic and overseas.
