L'Argentina
Nestled between Mahon and Alaior; L'Argentina is a rural residential area consisting of approximately 100 houses. Ranging in size, they mostly all have large plots and surrounded by countryside. The urbanisation has a main street running through its centre, with various smaller veins coming off from it. There are two entrances and exits, creating a horseshow shape. L'Argentina is most well-known for the popular zoo which is located at one end of the urbanisation. L'Argentina's closest town is Alaior. The municipality has some stunning beaches, such as Son Bou and Calan Porter, which are both a very short drive from the town. Alaior is fantastic for wondering about early or late evening, when the heat of the sun is not around, and the light brings out a more intense colour pallet. There is a market and live music every Wednesday evening during the summer season and the whole town is alive and vibrant with tourists and locals alike, enjoying tapas, cold refreshments, and the warm Mediterranean air.
