ABOUT THIS HOUSE
Mount Pleasant House is believed to date from the 1930’s with later additions. The property sits on the edge of the popular village of Wanborough and is approached down a long private drive that leads off a no-through lane. It occupies a tranquil and private setting and enjoys fabulous, far-reaching views across to The Marlborough Downs. The property extends to about 6.25 acres of garden and paddocks.
The house offers spacious and adaptable accommodation over two floors and is surrounded by delightful mature gardens. The drawing room has spectacular views over the paddocks and to the Marlborough Downs. Beyond the dining room, in the heart of the home, is the Mark Wilkinson kitchen/breakfast room. Off this are the sitting room, shower room and gym, which could be reconfigured as a self-contained annexe. Alongside the boot room and cloakroom is an office.
Beside the house is a covered outdoor pool, beyond which are extensive equestrian facilities including six loose boxes, a barn and a 40m x 20m flood-lit, all-weather manège. The land is divided into post and rail paddocks with water.
