Description

Welcome to The Holt! This stunning home is a must see.

When we first viewed this family home we were blown away with the picturesque scenic views, very large garden and overall sizeable footprint of the house giving so much entertaining  space we knew there and then this was the property for us – all these years on we still love all its charm.

Upon entering you will pull onto our sizeable gravel driveway with parking for multiple cars. We also have a double garage great for additional parking or storage. We have added astro turf to the front for beautiful all year round green grass.

Over to the feature front red door and our porch entrance you are welcomed into the hallway leading to our dining room with alcove leading to our sitting room. An abundance of natural light flows through giving a relaxed feel.

We have a separate living room leading onto a family room so in total four reception rooms. We have very much enjoyed hosting friends and family at our little bar and those cosy winter nights in front of our feature fire place. We love having the different areas and the flow is perfect for family life. The reception rooms ooze character and charm and have to be seen to appreciate the space and calming feel throughout.

We have a study downstairs ideal for those work from home days and a downstairs bathroom which has been re-fitted to a contemporary style during our time here.

Onto our large country kitchen overlooking our spacious private enclosed rear garden. The kitchen is well equipped with feature Rangemaster cooker and plenty of space for our other appliances and storage. We have a large dining table in the kitchen and still have ample space for everything else. It is the true heart of this home – it is stunning.

Leading outside to our south facing rear garden and this is a space we have nurtured during our time here, as well as a very generous space we have views of open fields beyond and it is truly breathtaking, we have that lovely rural tranquil feel. We have a pond and ornamental well which we have planted with flowers and it looks beautiful. We are fortunate to have such a large garden. We have extended the patio as part of our home improvements so have a lovely seating area as you exit through the kitchen. The views are truly spectacular with the sound of birds song – it is magnificent.

Upstairs we have a master bedroom with en-suite and dressing area as you enter it is so spacious and has all the storage you need, elegant in design and caters to all needs.

We have three further sizeable bedrooms again with built in storage and generous proportions.

Our family bathroom has been re-fitted during our time to create a modern aesthetic.

Our home is situated in Sandon a beautiful village full of community spirit and events. We have pub nights, games nights and Pimm’s evenings throughout the summer and the Norman church steeped in history. We have a gazette and village newsletter sharing all of our up and coming events – it is lovely to have such community spirit. We are close to Buntingford offering an array of shops and amenities. We are in the catchment area to good local schools and good links to the A1 and A10. It is such a warm and welcoming village!

Agents opinion – when I first stepped foot in this outstanding home I was blown away by the abundance of space, the welcoming feel and the charm and character which oozes throughout. The garden was the real wow factor and I spent a lot of time taking in those stunning breath taking views. The gravel driveway is a grand entrance – it is an absolute must see to appreciate the wonderful bespoke features throughout. This is a very rare opportunity to acquire a true gem.  I cant wait for you to book in your viewing so I can visit again, it is an absolute pleasure.
